Plenty Valley Arts and the City of Whittlesea have proudly combined to present Hawkstowe Music, a relaxing afternoon and evening of music in a park setting, sure to appeal to all ages.
Returning due to popular demand are St Monica’s College Senior Jazz Combo who
will team up with St. Monica’s College Vocal Ensemble. Local big band Out for the Count and the well known Cheek to Cheek trio will complete the bill.
This enjoyable and relaxing family day in the park will include Leigh’s farmyard friends, face painting and great music.
Hawkstowe Music takes place on Sunday 15 November, 3pm-7pm at Hawkstowe Picnic Area, Plenty Gorge Park, Gordons Road, South Morang. Tickets at the gate are just $2 per head and food and drink are available for purchase on the day.
Mill Park Garden Club will provide its famous continental BBQ and Devonshire teas.
Local beer and wine, coffee and ice-cream will be on sale throughout the afternoon.
The historic Le Page Homestead will feature an exhibition of work by local artists and all works will be available for purchase.
A carry in carry out rubbish policy applies in the park and free parking is available. BYO picnic and rugs or chairs.

St. Monica’s College Senior Jazz Combo & Vocal Ensemble
These are two popular performing ensembles at St. Monica’s College that often perform together at College functions.
The Senior Jazz Combo is an auditioned group of music students, and they play a range of contemporary and jazz styles.
The Vocal Ensemble is in high demand for school and community performances. The singers and instrumentalists will present an entertaining range of modern songs for the Festival.
Out for the Count
A 15 piece Big Band that covers Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Sammy Nestico, Henry Mancini, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Nancy Wilson just to name a few.
Cheek to Cheek
A stylish and versatile trio that has performed an assortment of musical styles for a variety of venues and audiences over the last twelve years. The inventors of the Stashway Piano, Mark and Stephanie Renouf, combine with Peter Wright on drums to create a unique blend of jazz and rock and a bigger sound than any acoustic trio has a right to produce.
