Information for voters

Council elections are held across Victoria every four years, on the fourth Saturday in October.

Voting in the election is compulsory for residents of the City of Whittlesea who are enrolled on the Victorian electoral roll.

Corporations, occupiers, and ratepayers who are property owners but reside outside the municipality may also be eligible to vote. 

Election key dates

  • The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) will mail out ballot packs to enrolled voters in early October 2024.
  • Voting closes at 6pm, Friday 25 October 2024.
  • Election day is Saturday 26 October 2024.
