Destination Plan 2023-2026
Tourism in the City of Whittlesea experienced a significant downturn because of the Coronavirus pandemic, and it's time to adapt to new market demands.
We've identified several key opportunities and developed a plan of priorities and actions. These will be added to our broader plans and help guide how we manage tourism here for the next three years.
Thanks to both new private and public projects in the City of Whittlesea, and a growing number of visitors that matches our increasing population, we see a strong chance to keep building sustainable tourism in the area.
Over the next three years, we'll roll out specific actions for each priority area. These actions are designed to:
- support and promote the development of new tourist offerings that make our city a go-to destination
- push for more investment in facilities for visitors
- enhance the City of Whittlesea's reputation to attract more visitors
- encourage tourists to stay longer and explore more parts of the city.
By focusing on these areas, we aim to make the City of Whittlesea a preferred destination for more visitors.
