Economic Participation Plan 2023-2026
The City of Whittlesea is committed to ensuring everyone in our community has equal opportunities to participate in the economy.
We focus especially on helping groups who often find it harder to get employment, such as:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
- people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- people with disability
- women
- young people.
We do this by making sure these communities are actively represented within our organisation and by creating relevant job opportunities for them.
Our Economic Participation Plan sets out how we will support these vulnerable groups, who typically have fewer job opportunities and face significant obstacles to full economic participation.
The goal of this plan is to improve how services respond to the specific needs of our community and these priority groups.
