How we created the vision

Whittlesea 2040: A Place For All, builds on the achievements of Shaping Our Future Whittlesea 2030 and provides a new long-term vision for the City of Whittlesea.

We spent over 10 months getting to the heart of what our community needs and wants. We talked to thousands of residents, local groups, and organisations to really understand where we stand and where we're headed.

Through these conversations and lots of research, we created the Whittlesea 2040 Background Research Paper(PDF, 7MB) and Fact Sheets(PDF, 1MB).

We also collected thoughts and opinions from more than 4,700 people who live, work, or play in Whittlesea.

Everyone's feedback helped shape the Whittlesea 2040 vision, and all these insights are summarised in our Community Engagement Summary Report(PDF, 508KB).
