As a growing and diverse Council, the City of Whittlesea is unique.

We are a place...

Where the real you is celebrated

Where you can live a better work-life

Our people work hard and do meaningful work, but don’t need to sacrifice their personal or family life to do it. Our flexible working practices are not just words on paper. For many job roles, they include working from home arrangements and an optional fortnightly rostered day off for full-time staff allowing our team to recharge and refresh.

Many of our people live locally and they tell us it’s a game-changer. They embrace the opportunity to reduce their commute time, save on transport costs and find more balance. Plus, they get to contribute in a meaningful way to their local community.

Where we learn and grow together

Learning and development is prioritised and our people have access to a range of courses to help them grow, both technically and personally. You are not locked into one career path here. Both transferable skills and life experiences are valued at City of Whittlesea, which means there are always new opportunities to seize.

Our municipality has growth and established areas, rural and urban settings and a vibrant, diverse and growing community providing an interesting mix of work and problems to solve.

Where we are closer than you may realise

Given the variety of our roles, our people work across all areas of our municipality. Most staff work from our main office, conveniently located in South Morang. Just 21 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD and nearby to a major shopping and entertainment precinct. With on-site free parking, and a Metro train station (Mernda line) only a short stroll away, we are closer and more accessible than you may realise.

Other sites include the Epping and Whittlesea Depots, the Whittlesea Service Hub as well as our Community Centres.
