The City of Whittlesea is turning up the fun for Cultural Diversity Week from 17 to 23 March, celebrating the theme 'Embrace the Journey, Shape our Future.' It’s a week filled with music, dance, art, and of course, delicious food from all over the world!

The highlight of the week is the Cultural Diversity Week Celebration on Wednesday 19 March from 10am to 1.30pm at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre, South Morang. Expect energetic performances, vibrant traditional attire, mouth-watering cuisines and the chance to connect with local services. Plus, it’s free!

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Check out some of the other exciting activities on offer during the week:

  • Terracotta Plate Painting Workshop: 20 March at Whittlesea Community Activity Centre
  • Pop-Up Choir for Harmony Day: 21 March at Westfield Plenty Valley Food Court, Mill Park
  • Clay Beading Workshop: 21 March at Jindi Family and Community Centre, Mernda

Cultural Diversity Week coincides with Harmony Day on 21 March, a national celebration of inclusiveness, respect, and belonging. So, mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate!

“Cultural Diversity Week is a fantastic opportunity to connect, share stories, and celebrate the many cultures that make our community so special. It’s a time to recognise the traditions that shape us and appreciate the richness of our collective heritage.”
