Calling all artists - it’s time to show off your talent at the City of Whittlesea’s annual Art Exhibition. Whether you’re an experienced artist, or just starting out, this accessible exhibition provides a space for local artists to exhibit and promote their work.

Let this year's theme, Hope: A Spectrum of Possibility, be your inspiration. Artists are invited to reflect on hope in all its forms, from feeling low to very positive, from personal wishes to collective or shared goals and all the moments in between. Show us your visions of a better future, your dreams of a perfect world, and your hopes for change. How does hope guide us? How does it help us stay strong in tough times? Does hope last forever? Is hope what makes us human?

This is your opportunity to show and respond to this theme in your art. You can create any type of art - paintings, sculptures, digital pieces, or something completely unique.

Winner of the 2023 Youth Award, 9-year-old Renita, shared her thoughts on participating in the exhibition.

"Winning the Youth Award last year was amazing! I felt really happy, and it encouraged me to keep making art,” Renita said.

“This exhibition is so cool because people get to display their work, even if they don't win an award. It was amazing to see different perspectives and art, some of which weren't even pictures."

This exhibition has been running for over 15 years and is an excellent opportunity for local residents to connect, share, and inspire one another through creativity. All local artists are welcome to enter, regardless of experience level.

Artworks are to be submitted by 5pm on Monday 17 November.

Selected artworks will be displayed at the Plenty Ranges Art and Convention Centre, 35 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang from Friday 17 January 2025 until Friday 7 February 2025.
