The City of Whittlesea is excited to launch the Raising Children and Young People 2025 program. Get ready for a year of incredible, free parenting programs, workshops, and events designed to support and inspire families every step of the way. Whether you’re a new parent, an experienced caregiver, or a grandparent, there’s something for you.

These engaging sessions and events offer practical advice, expert insights and opportunities to connect with others in the community. Dive into powerful parenting strategies, foster healthy child development, and build stronger family bonds. Best of all, the program creates a welcoming space for every family, ensuring you have the support and resources to raise happy, thriving children with confidence.

Some of the sessions coming up in March include:

  • Communication Development for Children 0-3 Years – Understand the speech and language milestones in young children
  • Pop-Up Playgroup – Enjoy a playgroup packed with fun activities and helpful resources for parents
  • Parental Self-Care – Learn practical strategies to prioritise your well-being as a parent
  • Mother Goose – A delightful program using rhymes, songs, and stories to support early literacy
  • Nourishing Little People and Oral Health Care – Tips on nutrition and oral care to keep little smiles healthy
  • Pop-Up Bush Playgroup – Get outdoors with nature-based activities in this exciting outdoor playgroup
  • Aurora Stay and Play Pop-Up – Craft and play activities with support from early years services
  • Read, Play and Connect – Join a library-based session filled with interactive activities for kids
  • Parenting Toddlers Information Session – Discover expert tips for handling toddler behaviours
