Road extension provides local relief

A road extension will make the morning and afternoon school runs easier for two new school communities.

We’ve extended Baltrum Drive, Wollert to serve the newly established Wollert Central Primary and Wirrigirri Primary schools.

The 210-metre-long two-lane extension will help to reduce traffic congestion in the busy neighbourhood and provide safer pedestrian links.

In addition to the road extension, the project also includes installation of street lighting and about 410 metres of concrete drainage.

The project is scheduled to be completed in March 2025. The Victorian School Building Authority and Melbourne Water are contributing towards the cost of the roadworks and drainage respectively.
