Rebates for reusable shopping carts

Investing in reusable items at home is a great way to reduce waste and save money in the long term.

Our Zero Waste Rebate Program supports residents to claim a rebate when they invest in reusable products and take steps towards sustainable living.

The program has now been expanded to include shopping carts made from sustainable materials, such as metal and aluminium, with minimal plastic parts.

A rebate of 50% of the purchase price up to $200 spent is available.

The Zero Waste Rebate program also allows residents to claim a rebate for reusable nappies, reusable sanitary products, compost bins and composting tools each year.

Residents are also encouraged to shop locally to reduce their carbon footprint.

Our goal is to become a low waste city, and initiatives such as this are another step towards keeping more waste out of landfill.
