Epping Hub revamped
The Epping Community Services Hub at 713 High Street has been renovated, making it a comfortable and inclusive space.
With more than a dozen partner organisations, the hub offers a wide range of services for people seeking help and advice including employment services, family violence support, mental health support, financial counselling and support for people with a disability.
Thanks to a $750,000 refurbishment co-funded by the City of Whittlesea and the Victorian Government, the hub now has three new consulting rooms, two breakout rooms, expanded office space, and a private waiting area.
Elaine Howard from Austin Child Youth Mental Health Service says the upgrades create a comfortable, private setting where clients feel more relaxed, with features like dimmable lights, cosy chairs and whiteboard tables for drawing.
“Our clients often experience stress so it’s important to provide a comfortable room to help them relax and be able to talk.” – Elaine Howard
