Amendment – 149 McKimmies Road, Bundoora

We've received a request to prepare an amendment to the Whittlesea Planning Scheme to facilitate the rehabilitation and future development of the former quarry at 149 McKimmies Road, Bundoora.

The amendment would provide new planning controls to guide the future development of the site for residential use and enable a diversity of housing options.

The site would be re-zoned from industrial to residential and the land adjoining the Darebin Creek would be protected as part of a waterway corridor.

Who requested the amendment?

The request to change the amendment has been received on behalf of Intrapac Property.

Where's the site?

What's happening now?

At the Council meeting held 19 September 2023, we agreed to commence the planning scheme amendment process.
