Immunisation history statements for children
By law, parents or guardians must provide an Immunisation History Statement when enrolling your child in any childcare service, kindergarten or primary school in Victoria.
The only documentation that is accepted is a current Immunisation History Statement provided by the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). The statement shows whether a child is up to date with their immunisations and includes details of the vaccines they have received.
For more information visit the Better Health Channel website.

Immunisation and pregnancy
Some infectious diseases can cause serious harm to pregnant women or their unborn babies. If you are planning on starting a family we recommend you see your GP to discuss this and have your immunisation history assessed prior to becoming pregnant. All women are strongly advised to receive influenza and whooping cough vaccines during every pregnancy.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are at higher risk to experience complications from vaccine preventable diseases and therefore extra vaccines are available free through the National Immunisation program.
