You can't order any more of these bins.

There is a fee for each food and garden waste bin.

You can order a total of two food and garden waste bins per household. 

Each of these bins is 240 litres.

We calculate and invoice the fee to follow the financial year, which begins on 1 July and ends on 30 June.

If you choose to cancel your extra bin service part-way through the year, you won't receive a refund or credit.

If you're a property owner, your extra bin service fee will be included in your rates notice. If you're renting, you'll be invoiced directly.

Current annual fees per extra bin are:

• 120 litre rubbish bin: $315.10
  Note: An additional one-off delivery charge of $61.80 applies to the residential garbage service.
• 240 litre recycling bin: $124.75
• 240 litre food and garden waste bin: $105.15

You don't need to pay the extra bin service fee if any of the following situations apply to you.

You just need to provide the necessary documents as proof of your eligibility. Extra bin fee exemptions may apply for:

• Residents with special medical needs: Please send us a medical certificate or letter from your doctor.
• Families with 6 or more members: Please send us a copy of your Medicare or Healthcare card showing the number of people within the household. 
• Families with 2 or more children under 3 years old: Please send us a copy of your Medicare or Healthcare card showing the children’s names.
