Maternal and Child Health

Wherever you live in the City of Whittlesea, we have a range of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs, services and supports for you and your family.

We offer a free and confidential service to support City of Whittlesea families with children from newborn to school entry age.

Our dedicated MCH team is made of registered Nurses/Midwives who have an additional qualification in Child and Family Health.

They are skilled in providing ongoing care to support children's development and to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of every family.

Our Maternal and Child Health Service provides free and confidential support for City of Whittlesea families with children from newborn to school age.

Maternal and Child Health centres

The City of Whittlesea has 20 Maternal and Child Health sites located around the municipality. Find details for your nearest centre and how to book an appointment.

Drop-in services

Free open consultation and baby feeding support for parents and carers. Get help with breastfeeding, bottle feeding or solid foods. Extra support in addition to key age and stage assessments.

Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Service

Our Enhanced Maternal and Child Health (EMCH) Service provides extra support for families with young children who may be experiencing challenging times.

Parenting programs

We have a range of maternal and child health (MCH) programs to assist parents build skills and confidence in areas such as feeding, sleeping, settling and general parent and child wellbeing.
