Support for families

The Family Engagement Team is available to assist families in completing registration and enrolment forms for long day care and kindergarten, help identify and overcome barriers in accessing early childhood services and access family support services and programs.

Ways we support families

The Family Engagement Team provides the following services:

Registration and enrolment support

Direct assistance with filling out necessary documentation for early childhood education programs.

Identifying barriers

Helping families and education services to recognise obstacles that may hinder access to services.

Support services

Guidance on connecting with various support services, including:

  • Maternal Child Health
  • Immunisation
  • Family support services
  • Material aid and financial counselling
  • Family violence services
  • Parent education/resources
  • Library story times
  • Community and supported Playgroups.

Multicultural Support

The Multicultural Family Engagement Facilitators assist families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds by providing translation help and support in completing registration documents for kindergarten, childcare, or primary school foundation year.
