Collectively Caring for Climate

The Collectively Caring for Climate project is all about raising awareness of climate change and how people can individually and collectively help to mitigate its effects. It uses art to motivate people to take meaningful action against climate change.

Participants have committed to making small changes in their daily routines that can help the environment. These pledges are showcased through their art.

Check out the exhibition online by browsing through the artwork galleries and watching the video tours.

Exhibition tour

Over 200 residents of the City of Whittlesea joined this project, each receiving a small canvas to create an artwork that represents their commitment to helping the environment.

These personal pledges are transformed into vibrant art pieces.

The artworks were turned into prints and featured as part of collective murals and footpath art installations across the city.

You'll find them in public spaces like:

  • streets
  • shopping areas
  • outside community centres
  • along walking trails
  • other pedestrian-friendly spots.

There will also be an online gallery and a physical exhibition in the Great Hall at the Council offices.
