Meet and connect with local music industry stars who have performed on Australian Idol and The Voice Australia. Enjoy an evening of Live Performances, Q&A’s, and learn how to break into the music scene.

Meet the Stars

Jake Carlson

Jake Carlson is a Melbourne-based singer and guitarist studying jazz and improvisation at the University of Melbourne's VCA. Over his career, Jake has performed with artists like Missy Higgins and the MSO in venues including Hamer Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Centre, and the MCG. He is passionate about blues, jazz, and R&B, and actively seeks opportunities to grow as a performer in the industry.

Shanae

Shanae’s love for music began with singing in her community, inspired by her dad. She focuses on pop and ballads, with a goal to make people feel uplifted through her music. In 2023, her dad auditioned for The Voice to encourage her to pursue her dreams, which led to Shanae's own appearance on the show. She has since performed at festivals, charity events, musicals, and private gatherings throughout Melbourne and dreams of releasing her own music.

Amber Sidoni (Ambraya)

Known for her soulful, narrative-driven pop, Amber Sidoni (Ambraya) has been compared to artists like Tori Kelly and Sara Bareilles. She won Best Soloist at the Australian A Cappella Awards in 2019 and sold out her debut show Constellations in 2021. Amber has performed at renowned venues such as the Paris Cat Jazz Club and Chapel off Chapel, and was featured on The Voice Australia Season 13. In addition to her music career, Amber is the author of the children’s book Safe, Happy, and Healthy and recently released her debut single, Happy Place.

James Vass

21-year-old singer James Vass is celebrated for his blend of pop, folk, and soul. Starting his music journey by posting covers on YouTube at 14, he built a following that led to his appearance on The Voice Australia, Season 13. Guided by coach Guy Sebastian, James shared his soulful voice and deeply emotional lyrics. He continues to perform locally and develop his craft, aspiring to reach audiences worldwide with his original music.
