Merri Creek Management Committee invites our younger nature stewards to join us in celebrating the Growling Grass Frog and aquatic life of the Cooper Street Quarry wetlands.

This fun school holiday program is funded by the City of Whittlesea.

Activity Group 1 invites teenage local nature enthusiasts to an exciting nature party. Learn more about our amazing but locally vulnerable Growling Grass Frog, known for its unique and amusing growling sound (which resembles a small dog's bark). Walk with us and discover the fascinating world of amphibians including their unique habitat needs. This is a nature party you don't want to miss.

Activity Group 2 for younger children will explore the local wetlands and discover local frog habitat and listen out for frogs, in particular the Growling Grass Frog. Up to 2km of walking is involved in this group, and the activity is suitable for ages 5 and above, and caters for all abilities.

For both groups, all teenagers and children must be accompanied by an adult.
