Notice of Unscheduled Council Meeting

In accordance with Clause 10 of the Governance Rules, we request an urgent Unscheduled Council Meeting to be held in person at 6pm on Tuesday 25 February 2025 in the Council Chamber, City of Whittlesea, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang.

The business to be transacted at this meeting is the consideration of the following matters:

• Draft Election Period Policy
• Councillor Social Media Policy
• Councillor Communication Policy

The consideration of these items cannot be safely or conveniently considered at the next Scheduled Council Meeting due to the upcoming Federal election which may be announced prior to the March Council meeting. Items 2 and 3 are referenced within the Election Period Policy therefore need to be adopted.

Please note that public questions and submissions are not permitted at Unscheduled Council Meetings in accordance with Council’s Governance Rules.
