Conveniently local

Mernda Library marks Yarra Plenty Regional Library's 10th branch, and the first located within a shopping centre, so you can shop for groceries and collect your reserved items in a single location. We are even open late on Thursdays.

Acknowledging traditional owners

Mernda Library is within Mernda Town Centre and is situated on the land of the Wurundjeri Wilam peoples. Mernda is named from the Woi Wurrung word murnmurndik meaning young girl. We acknowledge the care of these lands, waterways and skies undertaken by the Traditional Owners of the area and commit to contributing positively to the local community.
