Active Whittlesea

Communities that are physically active are more likely to be healthier communities.

We're committed to improving the quality of life for all residents by improving access to sport, physical activity, open spaces and recreational facilities.

Active Whittlesea strategy

Active Whittlesea 2019-2028 will guide the planning and promotion of sport, leisure and recreation programs, services and facilities within the City of Whittlesea over the next 10 years.

Diversity is one of our greatest strengths, yet many groups (like migrants, women and girls, people with disability) experience significant barriers to participation — such as cost, transport and awareness.

This strategy aims to address these barriers to get more people active more often.
