Naming the new kindergarten at 16 Spring Street, Thomastown

We are building a new kindergarten located at Thomastown Primary School. We recently invited residents to have their say about what the name should be. THIS CONSULTATION HAS NOW CLOSED.

We are building a new kindergarten located at Thomastown Primary School, which will be open from Term 1 in 2021. The $5.1 million project will include two rooms for three and four-year-olds, and is supported by a $650,000 grant from the Victorian Government.

Naming the new kindergarten

In line with Council’s Naming Policy and the Victorian State Government Naming Rules, we recently invited residents to help us choose a name for this new kindergarten. THIS CONSULTATION IS NOW CLOSED.

Thank you to everyone that made a submission.

Process and outcome

Suggestions received are being evaluated by the City of Whittlesea, who will make the final decision on the naming of the kindergarten in compliance with the relevant naming rules and conventions. The chosen name will be made public for final comment as per relevant statutory requirements.
