There are 4 library locations in the City of Whittlesea – in Lalor, Mill Park, Thomastown and Whittlesea. A mobile library visits 3 extra sites within the municipality regularly.
Lalor Library is a welcoming community hub conveniently located in the centre of the Lalor Shopping Precinct. A place where the community can browse and borrow from the collection, and access a wide range of services; we also offer titles in our LOTE languages of Greek, Croatian, Serbian, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Vietnamese, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, and Chinese.
Iconic Mill Park library opened its doors in 2002 and was the first library in Victoria designed with the concept of a hybrid digital/print library. We offer a range of after school activities, Storytime sessions, a Science and Technology Maker Space, and an ever-growing collection of books and resources. Our collection includes local history titles, and a selection of resources available in Chinese, Greek, Italian, and Maltese languages. We host chess, creative writing, paranormal, and Italian social clubs, and offer regular technology help sessions.
Located next door to the Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre, you’ll find the Thomastown Library. A large and bright place with a spacious children’s area with a special feature of our library is the public artworks.
Situated in the Whittlesea Community Activity Centre, the library is like a second home for our members as it provides a lot of heart and a strong country feel.
