Youth events

Baseline For Young People is City of Whittlesea's Youth Services Team. Providing programs, events and projects that young people can get involved in. Our work has a prevention, early intervention and capacity building focus, and works with young people aged 10 to 25 years. Providing support and advocacy for the needs of young people, their rights, wellbeing and helping them see their full potential.

FreeZa

This program is designed for young people who want to enter the music industry, or grow their existing knowledge. These interactive workshops fosters connection to likeminded young people, and provides opportunities to develop new skills such as event management and DJ workshops.

Adulting for Beginners

Navigating the world as an adult can be tricky, so we’re here to help. This program has been created to address the nitty gritty things that young people might not go out of their way to learn, until it pops up! The program covers life skills from ‘how to budget and live independently’ to ‘how to create an effective resume’.


Who: Young adults aged 18-24 years old, living in the City of Whittlesea

Focusing on Hope

This program offers a safe and supportive platform for young people learn new skills in photography and addresses the important issues around gender equity. A great environment to meet new people and find hope by sharing their love of being creative through Covid-19.

Getting REAL about Wellbeing Online Workshops

Join us for a series of fun and free online workshops to help you understand more about mental wellbeing and how to boost your mood through mindfulness, music, physical activity and journaling.

Whittlesea Youth Environment ACTION Group

This is a newly formed group directed by young people who care about the environment. Members of this group will be able to make a real difference to the community through exploring environmental issues and planning how to act now to improve our environment for the future.

Creative Youth


This group welcomes young people who are creative and interested in digital and pencil art. Participants are provided with a safe place to express their creativity and meet like-minded individuals.

Young Women’s Leadership program


The Young Women’s Leadership program provides a supportive online space for young women in the community to develop and strengthen their leadership skills, with a focus on topics such as respectful relationships, gender differences and wellbeing.
