The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C236wsea to the Whittlesea Planning Scheme.
The amendment changes the Whittlesea Planning Scheme to facilitate the development of the land at 18 Development Boulevard for residential purposes.
The amendment came into operation on 20 November 2020, which is the date notice was published in the Victoria Government Gazette.
Amendment C236wsea rezones the land at 18 Development Boulevard, Mill Park and part of the adjoining road reserve to the south from a Commercial 2 Zone (C2Z) to a Residential Growth Zone (RGZ) to facilitate the development of the land for residential purposes.
A planning agreement has been prepared in conjunction with the amendment which provides for the provision of affordable housing, retention of native vegetation and noise attenuation measures to be considered as part of the future development of the site The retention of River Red Gums significant to the local area will protect the natural amenity and contribute to the neighbourhood character of the area.
The Amendment applies to land at 18 Development Boulevard, Mill Park, and part of the adjoining surplus road reserve immediately to the south.
