Amendment C241 - Shenstone Park Precinct Structure Plan (PSP)

Amendment C241 proposes to incorporate a new document into the Whittlesea Planning Scheme titled ‘Shenstone Park Precinct Structure Plan, September 2019’ (the PSP).

This PSP applies to approximately 628 hectares of land. The area is bounded by Donnybrook Road to the north and the Melbourne to Sydney train line to the west. Donnybrook Train Station is just outside the precinct on the north-west corner.

The PSP and Amendment was prepared by the Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) and on public exhibition in November 2019.

Planning panel

A Panel Hearing for the Amendment was conducted between 16 November 2020 and 23 December 2020. The final Panel Report was made publicly available on 9 March 2021. The full report can be accessed here.

Next Steps

The recommendations of the Planning Panel will be considered by the planning authority for the Amendment, being the VPA. It is expected that the Amendment will then be considered by the VPA Board for adoption and forwarded to the Minister for Planning for approval. It is expected that the Amendment may be approved and gazetted in late 2021.

An Infrastructure Contributions Plan will also be prepared to accompany the final PSP.
