Hello, we’d like to introduce and welcome you to Yarra Plenty Regional Library, a library service that operates in the north eastern suburbs of Melbourne, on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.
Our library is a place that is open, accessible, inclusive and free to all residents of Victoria. We provide space and resources to help entertain, inform and delight. We have branches across the local government areas of Banyule, Nillumbik and Whittlesea.
When you visit one of our library branches, either in person or online, we’ll assist you to discover what you’re looking for, whether it’s finding some essential piece of information, help using technology, or simply a recommendation for a great book or movie.
If you’re looking for a space to study, catch up with a friend, or just need to stay out of the weather for a few hours, we’re here for that too. Our collection includes books, magazines, newspapers and dvds, that can all be borrowed by you to take home, and we have a large collection of digital materials that can be accessed online with your membership.
Throughout the year we run events for all ages; storytimes to help your child’s brain development, a program of activities for school aged children, English conversation groups, book clubs, social groups, workshops and special events with writers and thinkers. It’s free to join the library and all members get the same benefits.
We look forward to welcoming you into one of our branches or helping you find something online soon.
