Venue Hire Subsidy Program

The City of Whittlesea acknowledges that the whole community has been affected by the pandemic. In response, Council reimagined some of our community grant programs to support community connectedness and alleviate some of the financial stresses felt by local community groups.

About our Venue Hire Subsidy

The Venue Hire Subsidy is a one-time only opportunity which provides free or subsidised use, up to the value of $500, of City of Whittlesea owned and operated venues.

The Venue Hire Subsidy aims to:

  • Support not-for-profit community groups cover the cost of venue hire so that they may divert funds to other areas of need
  • Support community members to reconnect with each other after extended Victorian COVID restrictions
  • Reduce the financial barrier of re-establishing pre-COVID activities for community and their members.

Key dates

Expressions of interest for bookings in term two (19 April – 11 July 2021) are open now and will close on Tuesday 2 March 2021.

The Expression of Interest for bookings incorporates the Venue Hire Subsidy application.
