For more information on a senior citizens club, contact our Positive Ageing Team on 9407 5913.

Senior citizens clubs offer a variety of social, leisure and recreational activities to their members. Activities may include:

  • playing cards
  • bingo
  • indoor bowling
  • bocce
  • sing-a-longs and dancing
  • luncheons
  • occasional day trips
  • celebrating culturally specific events
  • Knitting and crafts
  • Most clubs meet on a weekly basis and charge a small weekly and/or annual membership fee.

We have language-specific officers who work directly with the Italian, Macedonian and Greek communities to establish social support networks.

  • There are also clubs that encourage training and/or focus on specific recreational activities.  For Example, University of the Third Age (U3A), Garden Club, Men’s Sheds.  All are listed along with the Senior Citizens Clubs.

We encourage you to look at the Senior Citizens club list and contact them directly as they can provide you with specifics on what the club offers, meeting times and maybe able to help you with transport to and from the club venues/events.
