Book a sportsground

We're working to increase participation in sport and recreation activities by providing recreational facilities that are both relevant and accessible to all community members.

We have many fantastic local sportsgrounds available for clubs, schools and personal trainers to book. Whether you're after a soccer, football, softball or cricket ground, we have your sporting needs covered in the City of Whittlesea.

Casual sportsground bookings

Booking requests for casual club, school or community user group hire are made via our online sportsground booking program, IMS.

Step 1.Visit the IMS portal

Go to the IMS booking portal

Step 2.Log in

Log in or create an account. You will need an account to make a booking request.

Step 3.Agree to the booking conditions

Read, acknowledge and agree to abide by the conditions of sportsground hire agreement.

Step 4.Add supporting documents

Submit all required documentation including a copy of your current public liability insurance.

Seasonal sportsground bookings

We allocate sportsgrounds on a seasonal basis.

Step 1.New sports clubs

New sports clubs requesting a seasonal allocation should email their details to sportsgrounds@whittlesea.vic.gov.au. We assess all new allocations on a case by case basis taking into account available facilities.

Step 2.Existing sporting clubs

Existing sporting clubs will be prompted to complete their applications online via the IMS portal.

Step 4.Agree to the booking conditions

The Community Sports User Guide is the terms and conditions for Council annual and season allocations, for example, for cricket, tennis or soccer clubs. You'll need to download, read, acknowledge and agree to abide by the conditions of sportsground hire agreement.

Booking Epping Soccer Stadium

All clubs wishing to book Epping Soccer Stadium need to do so via the IMS bookings process.

Personal trainers

All personal trainers who wish to book sportsgrounds need to do so via the IMS bookings process.

Step 4.Add supporting  documents

Submit all required documentation including a copy of your current public liability insurance. 

Personal trainers must also produce evidence of the following:

  • current 'Fitness Australia' membership (or equivalent)
  • personal/group trainer qualification for all trainers who will be using the grounds
  • current first aid certificate

This documentation should be submitted to sportsgrounds@whittlesea.vic.gov.au upon completing the online booking request.
